Hello! Thank you for your efforts during our sessions last December. Despite the few problems we had, most notably the weather deciding to rain specifically between 4-6pm on a Friday we did manage to complete all of our proposed sessions. One thing I have been reminded of as a result is the importance of communication. Therefore with our brand new website up and running (www.sampfordtennis.org) and through issuing everyone with this letter, sessions can run smoothly and hopefully be fully attended so the club, yourself and your children get the most out of what we are offering.
Please note, the website will be updated if I have to make a late call on whether sessions will run (if the weather is dodgy for example) so please do all you can if you have doubts and check the site. If you’re not able to do this, feel free to contact me directly and I can give you a definite yes or no.
Onto the Summer, when hopefully we will have lots of sunshine and very little rain! I propose to run an 8-week course as before. This means Friday afternoons for 5-7(ish) year olds attending the first session from 4:30 – 5:15pm. To be followed by 7+ year olds for the second session: 5:15 – 6:15pm.
Obviously, I am aware some children prefer attending one session to another (due to school commitments and also which groups their friends are in) so if your child would like to attend a different group in relation to their age category please let me know ASAP so I can ensure this happens. The child’s enjoyment is the most important thing here so I have no problem at all with shuffling people about!
Below are the proposed dates for the 8-week course. Please bear in mind we miss May Half-term and I have other commitments such as Tennis League matches and a new job with different hours! Janet has hinted she can fill in and run sessions at no extra cost so watch the website for updates!

Cost will revert back to £2 per session (extremely cheap!) as we shouldn’t need the floodlights now. Therefore what you need to do is contact myself to confirm you would like your child/ren to enrol on the course. Alternatively contact Janet Clark on 01884 821213 if I am unreachable. Either let Janet have payment (£16) before the course starts or bring payment with you on 25th April.
PLEASE NOTE: The tennis club annual membership is now due (£10 for Primary School children and £15 for Juniors under 16) and you will need to pay this with/before the coaching sessions.
